"A little over a year ago (when Katherine was about three), we were looking through Mary Frances’ box (a box of momentos from the hospital) and she saw the pink fleece blanket that they wrapped Mary Frances in. Katherine said she wanted the blanket and has slept with it most nights since then. The next time she looked at the pictures she was very excited to see that Mary Frances was wrapped in the pink blanket. The blanket has been a way for her to tell others about her twin sister. When a fire fighter visited her preschool class this year, he was talking about special things they should leave behind if there is a fire. She raised her hand and said “I have a pink blanket that was my twin sister’s and she died." Tricia |
