"Katherine can see the wave of emotions that Bill and I went through when our girls were born. She’s commented “Daddy’s crying. You look sad.“ We also point out to her how happy we were to have her arrive safely. Eventually Katherine will be able to look at the pictures and see how Mary Frances and her were cared for. She’ll see that Mary Frances was treated with care – how she was weighed and measured, cleaned up, dressed and how Rosie took her footprints. It’s very helpful to have pictures of the mementos from the hospital – the blanket, outfit, tape measure, and footprints. It shows that these things were actually there with Mary Frances."
