"Very recently (Mother’s Day 2006) Katherine was in her room playing with her cousin who’s now 7. Her cousin saw the picture of Katherine and Mary Frances (I have one picture of them in a frame on Katherine’s bookcase). Gertie asked who is that other baby? Katherine told her it was Mary Frances and that she died. When Gertie asked how she died, Katherine told her she just stopped breathing and she died. The pictures have definitely helped Katherine to understand that she had a twin sister and to explain to others what happened to her."
